The first official outing of the Lima Camping Club was held in Pacaran, a few kms from Lunahuana during the long weekend of Santa Rosa de Lima. Pacaran is a very quiet town with simple amenities, finding a cold beer was not easy, although the intrepid campers managed. I can recommend a visit, in fact several visits, to the local Pisco distillery where the host will treat you to various samples of the local brew. If you go on a Sunday he may well be feeling especially generous, after having consumed various bottles of the cheaper hooch, and two rounds of each brew left Laurant and myself with a pleasant glow! The distillery is named after the owner, Don Nepta and they will be competing in this years Pisco festival to be held at Jockey Plaza in Lima.
